Judgment

There are two parts to me. One that never feels the need to explain anything to anyone. And the other that takes time to explain everything to anyone who asks.

I am both those parts. But my natural born instinct lies with never explaining anything because people don’t get things anyway. I’m not being arrogant or cocky – it’s just the way it is. People don’t get other people’s perspectives and conversation is mostly a waste of time.

The really smart ones are the ones who understand motives and they know what to say and when  – and they’re usually politicans or leaders.

These are people who’re to some extent free from the common man’s preoccupation with ego. pride, morals, ethics, etc. They have a deeper understanding of what’s behind the surface and can for most part predict how others will behave in certain situations.

And in this respect, they’re free from the common man’s most dangerous obstacles: the fear of judgment and the need to judge.

Very sadly, I’m not one of these people.

Back-up

The toughest times are when you really need someone around, but you’ve to make do by yourself. They’re the toughest times because that’s when you’re at your wit’s end and the stamina has run its course, and you need help. But you seldom have the choice of place for such moments, and that’s when God reminds you of that back-up battery pack each of us is gifted with – the soul. And we reach within to go that extra mile and the next and the next.
